Dee Goyal is a DMD candidate at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry. Having grown up across India, the US, and Canada, Dee brings an amalgam of perspectives and a diversity of experience with a hope to make healthcare accessible for all. Prior to dentistry, Dee studied Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge and Medicine at the Michigan State University. He strengthened the International Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) team in his undergrad, undertook several research initiatives on the epigenetics of cancer development, and actively represented his constituents as an elected member of the Students’ Union General Assembly. Dee enjoys volunteering in the community, namely with the Canadian Cancer Society and has mentored medical and dental aspirants. As a Resolution guide, he hopes to combine his passion to foster youth leadership across the world with his experience from the ground realities of the Global South along with his domain knowledge in medicine and dentistry.
