Dan Cahill, a 2010 Resolution Fellow, collaborated with Betsy Graves on the venture “Making the Most of Water.” He continues to volunteer with Resolution Project as part of the Leadership Council and as a Guide. An Illinois native, Dan is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Government: International Affairs.  Upon graduating, Dan served as a Deck Watch Officer on Coast Guard Cutter ELM, a 225 foot sea-going buoy tender, in Atlantic Beach  North Carolina. Subsequently, he served as the commissioning Executive Officer of CGC CHARLES DAVID JR, a Sentinel-Class Fast Response Cutter, in Key West, Florida. Dan was selected for promotion to Lieutenant and assignment to the Coast Guard’s Legal Education Program and attended Boston College Law School. He currently serves as a Special Assistant US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. In his free time, Dan is a runner, movie fan, crossword puzzle enthusiast, and habitual brunch-goer.
