Dr. Chouly is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation at Virginia Tech. She earned a Ph.D. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University on a Fulbright scholarship. She obtained a B.Sc. in Biology from Royal University of Phnom Penh in Cambodia and a Master’s in Natural Resources Management from Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. Her research has focused on freshwater ecology, biological conservation, and community-based natural resources management. She also has extensive experience mentoring students, managing research projects, and implementing conservation programs in Cambodia.
