Carlos Eduardo Vargas is a distinguished social innovator and lawyer with advanced degrees in governance, political management, public management, and business administration from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and the IESA School of Management. He has played pivotal roles at his alma mater, including Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Advisor at the Human Rights Center. Vargas is the founder of several innovative organizations in Venezuela, including 1001 Ideas, the InterAmerican Public Innovation Agency, Cultura Lírica, and Ideas Inquietas, which focus on social innovation, public value creation, and support for purpose-led companies. His work has gained international recognition, making him a participant and speaker at global forums and earning him titles such as Ambassador of One Young World and Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum. Carlos was recently appointed as the new Resource Mobilization and Strategic Partnership Officer of the United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA) in Venezuela.
