Arnold Katende is a Ugandan social entrepreneur who is the Founder and CEO of Joint Organic Aquaponics. Through his social enterprise, he provides sustainable farming training and advisory services to smallholder farmers in Uganda. His farming practice training increases self-reliance, employment, and fortification against climate vulnerability.
He is passionate about Controlled Environment Agricultural systems and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Horticulture at Auburn University. He is also a Resolution Fellow, a CGI U Mentor, and the Co-founder of GenFarm Financial Enterprise which offers financial literacy training and end-to-end services to farmers in Uganda. Arnold’s dedication to sustainable agriculture highlights the need for more innovation in addressing global food security.
