Anand Macherla (Class 10) is an entrepreneurial ecosystem builder & gatherer based in Baltimore, MD. He currently works as a part-time grant writer & fundraiser for Dent Education, a Baltimore-based, youth innovation nonprofit. Anand grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated in economics & international management from UNM, where he did research on conflict resources, art & attention politics, and outer space policy. While at UNM, Anand co-founded a specialty jewelry company and artisanal crafts advocacy, as well as the Refugee Youth Film Festival, which soon became a Resolution Project venture. He is a Venture For America alum, a serial hobbyist, and a matchmaker with a surprisingly high success rate. Anand believes solutions are found within community.
