BIO

Onapa Ambrose, a young Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University, is from Akokoro, Apac, Uganda.

From passion for technology and community development, he co-founded TAL Youth Uganda and Cassavity, extending the shelf life of agricultural surplus from 3 days to 18 months using simple technology in Uganda and Sierra Leone respectively. With this technology, small holder farmers lose 0% of their harvest. During his time at Makerere University (an ACN Peer Coach and Scholars’ Council Representative at the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program), he led several impactful giveback initiatives. Ambrose’s leadership and innovations have earned him several grants and awards, including the The Resolution Fellowship, Fishbowl Challenge, UNDP, StartHub Africa, Startup and many others.

Committed to bridging the digital divide, he actively coach and mentor young entrepreneurs. Ambrose aims to enhance connectivity in underserved areas, using technology and entrepreneurship for sustainable societal impact.
