Alex is a data scientist based in Dakar, Senegal and has been a part of The Resolution Project since 2009. His work revolves around using satellite imagery to predict and respond to drought. He has previously worked for Action Against Hunger, the World Food Programme, The Ivorian Ministry of Agriculture and the Rwandan Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion. He completed a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at Florida State University where he was awarded a Truman Scholarship and an MS in Development Studies from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies.
