Resolution to Honor Donte Miller, Andras Forgacs, and Manu & Rika Shah at 8th Annual Young Leaders Now Award Dinner

On Thursday, October 20th, Resolution Project will host the 8th annual Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine Young Leaders Now Award Dinner!

We are thrilled to recognize Manu and Rika Shah, co-founders of M S International (MSI), with the Champions Circle Award for Supporting Young Leaders. This award is presented to top leaders who, throughout their careers, have distinguished themselves as champions for social change and advocates for entrepreneurship. In addition to creating hundreds of thousands of jobs worldwide through MSI, Manu and Rika’s MSI Charitable Trust supports philanthropic endeavors like Resolution, which has allowed us to identify and propel dozens of new Fellows working on impactful social ventures across Sub-Saharan Africa.

We are also excited to recognize Donte Miller as an example to Resolution’s global network of Fellows. While studying at Morehouse College, Donte co-founded Village Micro Fund, a social impact fund that educates and empowers Black entrepreneurs in Atlanta. In honor of Donte’s accomplishments as a young social entrepreneur, we are proud to present him with the Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine Young Leaders Now Award.

And finally, we are pleased to recognize one of Resolution’s co-founders, Andras Forgacs, with the Founders Award for Extraordinary Service. Andras has helped to build Resolution from the ground up and is still actively involved in the organization through his work on the Advisory Board. We are grateful for this opportunity to celebrate more than ten years of his dedicated service and leadership.

In addition to the awards, the event will feature a musical performance by kora master Yacouba Sissoko, a feature video recapping the Baobab Summit SVC, and a celebration of the winners of the Resolution’s inaugural Accelerating Impact Challenge.

We are so thankful to our event sponsors, without whom none of this would be possible, including Brookfield, Andras Forgacs, Group Black, H/L Ventures, Insperity, Oliver & Sabrina Libby, Peter Libby, Macquarie, MSI Charitable Trust, Second Horizon CapitalThe Sporkin Family Charitable Foundation, and White & Case.
