NEW YORK, NY., January 27, 2022 / The Resolution Project and MSI Charitable Trust are pleased to announce the launch of a new partnership to support Resolution’s programs in Kenya and across sub-Saharan Africa. This partnership will enable Resolution to continue the vital work of providing resources to young African social entrepreneurs, empowering them to make long-lasting change in their communities.
“We believe in serving as catalysts to leapfrogging ideas that are innovative in nature. We are partnering with The Resolution Project because they drive sustainable impact and produce results in the lives of the marginalized around the world,” said Manu Shah, Chairman and CEO of MS International, Inc.
Resolution Fellows in Africa have continued to serve as community leaders on a wide variety of critical issues, from food insecurity and sustainable agriculture to equitable education and women’s healthcare. As the world continues to face an uncertain future, it has never been more important to continue lifting up young leaders who are beacons of hope in their communities. Resolution will identify 10-15 new Resolution Fellows and support 5-7 social ventures from across sub-Saharan Africa, as well as current Resolution Fellows, over a 12-month period. These ventures will focus on issues familiar to MSI Charitable Trust’s work, including preventive healthcare, education, and employment generation.
This partnership will also support Resolution’s Innovation Hubs, including the largest in Nairobi, Kenya, which fosters collaboration between Fellows and local communities through events and targeted opportunities. This additional investment will enable Resolution to provide a pathway to social impact for more passionate young people working to enact change.
“MSI Charitable Trust’s mission to give back to local communities is deeply intertwined with Resolution’s work to empower young leaders in communities around the world,” says George Tsiatis, CEO & Co-Founder of The Resolution Project. “We strongly believe that young people are uniquely positioned to change thousands of lives for the better if they can get started early. That change starts in their community and, thanks to MSI, dozens more communities in Kenya and across Sub-Saharan Africa will now receive direct support from their best and brightest young people who are looking to make a difference.”
