Shallon is a final year student of Medicine and Surgery at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She is a Rwandese. She has a dream of improving the health and well-being of the community through innovative solutions to the most pressing health challenges that communities in Rwanda are facing. In order to work towards her dream, she founded HBC salon together with her co-founder, Angelique. HBC salon is an initiative that offers free sensitization and screening services in addition to beauty services offered to their salon clients. The ultimate goal is to prevent poor health outcomes that come with Diabetes Mellitus. She is so excited to start this journey with Resolution Project where she expects to learn from other like-minded young people who are impacting their communities worldwide as well as from guides.
