Rutendo Chigora founded ZW Connect, a social business incubator for low-income communities in her home country of Zimbabwe, giving them access to funding, training, and business startup support. A firm believer in supporting entrepreneurs to facilitate sustainable private sector development in Africa, Rutendo has worked in public sector consulting at McKinsey & Co. and in the government of Rwanda on investment promotion and private sector development initiatives, and she is now pursuing a career in emerging markets investment. Rutendo is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Oxford where she was a Rhodes Scholar, and holds degrees in international relations, political science, public policy, and business.
