Acen Miriam Okwera is a beacon of hope, passionately pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the United States International University- Africa (USIU-Africa). As the Co- Founder and Project Leader of Rising Hope Foundation, she is dedicated to uplifting widows in Lajwatek Village, Uganda. Her social venture empowers these women through sustainable cattle rearing, generating income from milk sales, enriching organic manure, and providing indispensable ploughing capabilities to enhance both food security and economic independence.. Her leadership at Rising Hope Foundation is more than a role; it is a heartfelt mission to cultivate resilience and ignite a ripple effect of empowerment across her community. Through her leadership, she exemplifies how a student can drive significant, lasting change both within academic pursuits and by actively addressing critical needs outside the classroom.
