Mahmoud Kanso is a Syrian Civil and Environmental Engineering student living in Lebanon. He got a full scholarship from Mastercard Foundation to study at the American University of Beirut. Mahmoud looks forward to using his leadership and project management skills in reserving Syrian cities identity in postwar projects. Mahmoud believes in entrepreneurship, leadership, volunteerism for rebuilding the innovated Syria. Mahmoud has been an education activist striving for refugees right to get quality education. He volunteered as a teacher assistant with World Food Program to equip Syrian refugees with technical skills. He volunteered with many other organizations such as UNICEF, Jussor, MMKN, andA26 Backpack. He was scholars’ representative in 2018 at AUB and was part of the Mastercard giving back subcommittee. Along with a passionate team, Mahmoud came up with EduPass idea in 2019 which is a socio-educational application that will embody adaptive learning for supporting Syrian refugees.
