Lawali Franck Ghislain Ki is a young Mastercard foundation scholar from Burkina Faso enrolled at the American University of Beirut. Lawali is a dreamer, passionate about entrepreneurship, engineering, and community building. He strongly aspires to transform Africa and people’s lives through the junction of these passions and his studies at university. Lawali closely shadowed various architects and entrepreneurs in their projects. His resilience always makes him stand apart. Besides maintaining outstanding academic performances, Lawali dedicated some time working with the youth in Burkina Faso through organizing and running entrepreneurship summer camps with the IWILI project team. He reflects that these moments spent working with others have developed in him values of humility, compassion, community building, and team working skills. Lawali shares strong values of Pan-Africanism and believes that through unity and shared commitment, the impossible is realizable.
