BIO

Jireh Mwamukonda was raised up in the city of Blantyre and Lilongwe in Malawi. She joined YoungLife in 2009 and Malawi Girl Guides in 2014. Through the roles she had in both organizations, she realized the potential that people have and became more passionate about community development. In 2016, she co-founded the “Together We Can” Initiative that strives to develop communities in Malawi through youth empowerment. She also co-founded “Change Makers in Costa Rica” where she united students from different countries to conduct community work in Iroquois Primary School. Jireh is currently an undergraduate agriculture science student at EARTHUniversity in Costa Rica (2016-2019) where she was part of the African Student Union as EventAssistant in2018. She has also served as head of Interns at Tradeline Corporation Limited Malawi during her internship in 2018. Apart from community work, Jireh enjoys spending time with friends, food, traveling, and writing inspirational speeches.
