Ghislain Irakoze is the Founder and CEO of Wastezon, a mobile app-based company, which connects households with recycling industries to transact solid wastes through reverse logistics. Passionate about Circular Economy transition, He thrived at organizing the “Recycle for Environment” Campaign which involved over 70 students in waste recycling in partnership with Tunza Eco-Generation Samsung Initiative. He currently, represents the African Circular Economy Network in Rwanda with the responsibilities of carrying research and organizing Circular Economy events. His work earned him awards such as World Bank Innovate4climate Pitch Hub Finalist, CoC Youth Conservation Innovation Poster Prize, Resolution Fellowship, Audi Environmental Foundation scholar in One Young World, and he was featured among the top 15 Africa Best Energy Entrepreneurs by Nigeria Energy Forum. He is currently pursuing a BA in International Business and Trade at African Leadership University.
