Edith Violet Naisubi is earning a Bachelors’s degree in Business Administration at Ashesi University in Ghana as a Mastercard Foundation scholar. She was selected as a 2019 Emerging leader by Skoll Foundation. Edith is a founder of the Ashesi Wiki Club: a club that aims at promoting African content online by creating articles and uploading images about Africa on Wikipedia. Edith is also a co-founder of AgriSan: a social enterprise that focuses on community gardening in the Pallisa District of Uganda, helping women who are sole breadwinners to collectively grow a farming business and develop financial literacy, among other skills. Edith participated in the 2018 Mastercard Foundation Summer School in Transformative leadership at the University of Edinburgh. She is also a Clinton Global Initiative fellow and a Clinton Global Initiative University campus representative at Ashesi University. Edith interned with Baobab at Edplus, Arizona State University. Baobab is an online education platform that connects all Mastercard Foundation scholars in the world. Edith also manages the Ashesi University Pageon Baobab. Currently, Edith is a resident assistant at Ashesi University.
