Audrey-Eka Ekpenyong Eyo is a passionate young woman dedicated to revolutionizing Nigeria’s educational system. She has been named an Ivy House Future Leader and Rise Fellow. In her first year at Leiden University College, she is taking the Liberal Arts Degree and plans to major in International Justice. Growing up in Nigeria and experiencing two sides of the same coin — the public and private schooling systems — she recognized two key things: the stark disparity between both and the restrictiveness within both. Her goal with her social venture, MOVATE Africa, is to change this status quo by offering a sustainable schooling solution in a mobile classroom to teenagers aged 15 to 19 who cannot afford to pursue higher education, thus bringing the campus to the community. With program courses like Financial Literacy, Environmental Sustainability, and Problem-Solving, Audrey envisions working with her fellow African youth towards individual and collective development.
