Annelle is a student at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She grew up in Kigali with her parents and four siblings. Her earliest memories include being a sister for the first time, where she witnessed, through her mother, the indispensable strength of women. Her biggest ambitions include improving reproductive health and designing creative technology for social impact. She’s passionate about thoughtful action towards social justice. Being a resolution fellow has given her the opportunity to bring positive change in her community. She plans on doing extensive research on the improvement of the lives of street-children and teenage-mothers to come up with more sustainable ideas like the one her team came up with. Annelle is pursuing Biology and Media Arts & Sciences, fulfilling her desire to explore both scientific and design thinking. When she’s not frantically trying to finish homework, she will be reading brain pickings newsletters or listening to obscure soul music.
