Abraham Tetteh Addy is a recent graduate of Ashesi University College in Ghana with a first-class degree in Business Administration as a MasterCard Foundation Scholar. His passion for improved sanitation allowed him to work to initiate sanitation projects such as TranSite, Somnia, Trash4cash, and eventually Ahote Sanitation Project which serves as the umbrella project. For the past three years, Abraham has been working in the sanitation sector in Ghana and with communities to come up with community-led solutions to the issues of sanitation via a process of co-creation. Based on the impact of his work, he was recognized as a Queen’s Young Leader in 2017. He is currently the co-founder of Eco Sanitation Service, a venture that seeks to provide easy access to environmentally friendly micro-flush toilets to low income earners in Ghana, with the main aim of alleviating the problem of open defecation.
