Resolution to Honor Ohad Elhelo, Michele Parmelee, Andrew Harris, and Kelsey Overby at 7th Annual Young Leaders Now Award Dinner

On Thursday, October 28th, The Resolution Project will host the 7th Annual Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine Young Leaders Now Award Dinner.  We are so excited to welcome our community together in person after almost two years apart. During this time, The Resolution Project’s global cohort of Fellows continued to grow, with young people taking immediate action to solve the myriad challenges faced by their communities. In 2020, these young social entrepreneurs relied on their creativity, passion, and support from Resolution to pivot and adapt to the global pandemic. The Awards Dinner will celebrate these young changemakers and share their stories.

The Awards dinner will recognize Ohad Elhelo as an example to our global network of Resolution Fellows. While a Junior in college, Ohad founded Our Generation Speaks, a fellowship program and startup incubator whose mission is to bring together young Israeli and Palestinian leaders through entrepreneurship. In honor of Ohad’s accomplishments as a young social entrepreneur, we will present him with the Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine Young Leaders Now Award.

We are also excited to recognize Michele Parmelee, Deloitte Global Deputy CEO and Chief People & Purpose Officer, with the Champions Circle Award for Supporting Young Leaders. This award is presented to top leaders who, throughout their careers, have distinguished themselves as champions for social change and advocates for entrepreneurship. Michele’s work and Deloitte’s commitment to supporting Resolution has allowed more than 200 young social entrepreneurs to gain access to the resources and training they need to grow both as professionals and individuals.

And finally, we are pleased to debut our Founders Award for Extraordinary Service, honoring Kelsey Overby and Andrew Harris.  These two – among Resolution’s very earliest volunteers – rose from the Resolution Leadership Council to the Board of Directors and continue to serve as Honorary Advisors to the Board. Andrew served as a member of the Board’s Executive Committee for six years, playing a crucial role in building and professionalizing the organization; Kelsey pioneered Resolution’s first events, creating Resolve and YLN, and elevating each subsequent edition of them for nearly a decade. Without their leadership, Resolution certainly would not be where it is today. We are grateful for this opportunity to celebrate their service and leadership.

After all of the change and growth that our community has gone through over the past year, we are happy to be able to once again gather and celebrate the unending passion and resilience of Resolution Fellows and our honorees.
