Derek and Sally are launching a junior wheelchair basketball team and a suite of programs for the children to help with their personal and athletic development along with a support network for the families.  They will also hold public demonstrations of wheelchair basketball to build awareness and promote the participants as confident and able individuals.  Derek, himself an amputee and wheelchair basketball player with experience in this league, has a huge personal passion for these teams, as well as real insights into how to build a fantastic team as the nucleus for an impactful venture.  Sally plans to go into orthopedic surgery and devote her life to rehabilitating physically-challenged individuals like the children, accident and illness victims, and even combat veterans who play on these wheelchair sports teams.
