In summer 2017, Xiaoyue Gong founded Aeo to safeguard the health of Chinese urban residents against ubiquitous particulate air pollution by raising awareness of invisible indoor air pollution and empowering people to take informed actions to protect themselves. Aeo wearable air quality sensors not only inform people of the air quality of their exact location but also document their cumulative daily exposure to particulate air pollution. The huge amount of data collected will be crowdsourced into an Aeo mobile app that provides information and access to cleaner air to a much larger population. As of August 2018, 110 people have been informed through the venture.
