BIO

Udita Persaud is a senior at Northwestern University studying Cultural Anthropology and Global Health Studies. It was through her studies and experiences at NU that Udita realized her passion for global health. At NU, Udita has been heavily involved with GlobeMed and has served as the Grass Roots On-Site Work (GROW) Coordinator and Advocacy Director for the Northwestern chapter. Additionally, she has conducted both qualitative and community-based research in Tanzania and Uganda. Her most fruitful endeavor came from being co-founder and co-director of the Northwestern Community Health Corps (NUCHC), which is an organization that strives to improve health in community. Through NUCHC, Udita was able to co-launch and co-found the HIRCULES Health Hub to help community members in the Chicagoland area access qualified and coordinated health information and resources. Udita hopes to continue her passion for health equity in the future as a physician.
