Sophie is a co-founder of the venture “Camp Fihavanana:” a summer camp that empowers and develops the youth of Madagascar through interactive, immersive, and hands-on activities. 

Sophie graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2015 with degrees in Graphic Design and Communication Studies. She sailed on Semester at Sea voyages in Fall 2013 and Spring 2015, where she met her Camp Fihavanana co-founders, Jessica Razanadrakoto and Laura Patterson, and made plans to positively impact Malagasy youth.
