Since arriving in Canada, Gerard has dedicated his time and energy into serving humanity. He is the President of Diaspora African Youth Association (DAYA), a youth-led organization in Edmonton which encourages the unity of African youth and positive contribution to society. Born in DR Congo, Gerard has had the honor of traveling on Youth Missions in New York at the United Nations, Kenya, in Russia and across Canada. He holds a Diploma in Business Admin – Entrepreneurship from NAIT and currently a student in BBA – Management scheduled to complete in June 2016. He would like to pursue further education in Forced Migration & Refugees and International Development. Gerard is a strong advocate for Refugees, Education and Human Rights.
