Betlhime Zewde (Faven) is in her last semester of Bachelor of Commerce at MacEwan University majoring in Management, with plans of continuing her education to get a second degree in Social Work and her MSW/MBA specializing in International and Community Development. She is also a second year MacEwan University Ambassador, Peer Support volunteer, VP finance of the Diaspora African Youth Association, and an assistant teacher at the Ethiopian Community Association in Edmonton.  

Born in Ethiopia, Betlhime is an active member of the community and has volunteered with numerous non-profit organizations. She is a firm believer in equal rights and opportunities for everyone, and hopes to see equal representation of visible minorities in the professional workforce. She enjoys volunteering and believes that the most expensive yet priceless thing you can give is your time, and hopes to give her time in serving those that need the help the most.

Betlhime is a proud class 8 resolution fellow. She is looking forward to making an impact in the process of growing and developing as a leader through Youth Empowerment and Integration.
